Spong in the City - Part I: Christmas Eve With The Spong

Adam Spong woke up in his tiny bed. He laid there for a second, thinking about what day it was. Suddenly, a second later, The Spong jumped out of his bed, screaming “It’s December 24th! It’s Christmas Eve!”
The little man quickly jumped into his spinny chair, starting up his giant desktop computer so he could check his notifications and write a post on his blog, “The Spong Blog”. After a quick post on his blog, The Spong quickly checked his notifications.
OURTOYWORLD, Spong’s student in the art of fanfiction, had just posted a new story about a character he had created a while back. Spong jumped out of his seat, giddy with joy. After Spong read it, he released he was getting hungry. It was time for some biscuits and coffee. Spong quickly shut off his computer, and spun around in his spinny chair. As soon as the chair stopped spinning, The Spong came face to face with his Lego, and he gazed upon it, sad yet happy.
Earlier that year, The Spong had decided that he would not buy any more Lego till 2018. Well, it was almost 2017, and with that he smiled, knowing that it was just a little more than 365 days till he could get his hands on a new set.
A moment later, The Spong quickly jumped out of his chair as he raced down the stairs to his tiny kitchen. He quickly made some coffee and he got himself a biscuit. He ate as fast as he could, shoving the biscuits down his tiny throat.
A moment later, the little man walked into his living room, turning on the TV so he could play some Minecraft. Since The Spong had his rule of no buying Lego, he had to fill up his day with new obsessions. This included writing fanfiction to Medium, reading Harry Potter books, and playing Minecraft. Spong loved his life and life loved him. He couldn’t have been any happier.
That day, Spong decided to build a giant castle in Minecraft Creative mode. Spong loved building, and he was a great Lego builder, one of the best from Australia. But, playing with Lego made The Spong want to buy more Lego, so he had to stop.
The day went by, with Spong going back up to his room to write some fanfiction. He wrote some more fanfiction about Harry Potter, and he wrote a new story about little animals. Although The Spong was over 40 years old, he had the mind of a child, meaning he had an amazing imagination.
The Spong had so many wild story ideas that were simple yet amazing. His fanfictions were very popular, making him one of the best writers in the whole world!
Later that day, after The Spong had written 10 fanfiction stories, he got a call from his brother, Edward Spong, asking if he’d like to come over to celebrate Christmas Eve with the rest of the family. The Spong quickly replied, saying that he’d love to spend time with the rest of the family. Edward told Adam to come over at 7:00 PM. It was 6:30 PM when Edward called him, so Adam quickly showered and shaved. He quickly jumped down the stairs, and locked up his house. He then went outside and got in his car. Edward’s house was 2 miles away, so just a few minutes later, Adam arrived.
He had to park his car about a block away from the house. There were many Spongs, and Edward always invited all of them on last minute notice — always. Spong quickly opened the door, shouting “Hello!” The hundreds of partygoers quickly turned around all at once, and in unison, they shouted, “Hello Adam!”
That night, Adam had a wonderful time chatting with his relatives. Many of them gave Adam free Lego, which he gladly took. He could always be given Lego, he just couldn’t buy any. That was his only rule.
Before long, it was midnight, and at that time, the entire Spong Clan broke out in Christmas carols, ringing in the holidays. Before long, Adam went home, and he barely made it up the stairs as he was THAT tired. He crashed into his tiny bed, and entered Dreamland.
Make sure to be on the lookout for Spong in the City — Part II: Dreamland, which is coming out soon! Yes! Soon! Like, really soon!
